Our client is looking to recruit a detail oriented Chef able to prepare delicious meals, to be based in Nanyuki. The Chef will be responsible for ensuring all kitchen/cooking responsibilities are executed. He/she is to ensure the smooth supplies and management of inventory.
The potential candidate should have excellent culinary and table setting skills. Managerial experience will be an added advantage. The desired candidate must have at least a Diploma in Hotel Management or related field. He/she should be willing to live in Nanyuki. Accommodation will be provided. He/she must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a chef.
Monitor food stock and place orders.
Ensure appealing plate presentation.
Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness.
Hosting and catering for international guests.
Must have at least a Diploma in Hotel Management &/or related field.
Must have at least 5 years proven work experience as a cook / chef.
Must plan menus according to employers’ needs and diet restrictions.
Must possess good inventory management skills.
Must possess excellent culinary and table setting skills.
Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.
Must have worked in a multicultural environment.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
Must be able to cater for guests.
Monthly Gross Salary: Kshs 40,000 /= (USD 400) depending on skills and experience.
Position Level: Junior Level.
Location: Nanyuki, Kenya.
